One tap. The people you trust see, hear and find you — live.
Abhyra streams your live location, audio and video to your emergency contacts, from both cameras if your phone can stream them together, otherwise from the front or rear camera. It also rings a full-screen siren on their phones that cuts through silent mode and Do Not Disturb. No mobile data? It falls back to SMS.
More than an SOS text message
Most safety apps simply send a text or share your location through a map link. Abhyra goes further — giving your emergency contacts a live view of what’s happening, ensuring alerts get noticed, and keeping you connected.
Both cameras, live, where supported
If your phone can stream two cameras at once, video from the front and rear cameras streams together, with audio and your location on a map. If it can't, one camera streams instead, and you tell Abhyra which one to stream, front or rear.
A siren they can't sleep through
Your contacts get a full-screen siren that rings through silent, vibrate and Do Not Disturb, and keeps going until they respond.
Works without data
If Abhyra can't reach the internet, it opens an SMS to your contacts with your coordinates and a maps link. Contacts who miss the push alert get an SMS too.
A clear time limit
An emergency lasts one hour. Before it ends you're asked whether to continue, once, for up to two hours. If you don't answer, it ends on its own, even offline.
Contacts who've said yes
Only contacts who accepted your invitation are ever alerted. SOS won't send until at least one has, so you never find out too late that nobody was listening.
Safe for teenagers
Under 18? A parent or guardian's consent is required before the profile can be saved, and once given it stays in place.
All of it, in one free app
Some safety apps have one or two of these. We didn't find one that has them all.
| Feature | Abhyra | Typical safety app |
|---|---|---|
| Live video from front and rear cameras at once (on supported phones; otherwise one camera) | ✓ | SMS or location only; a few stream one camera |
| Siren on contacts' phones through silent and DND | ✓ | Ordinary notification |
| SMS fallback when there's no data | ✓ | Either SMS only, or needs data |
| Emergency ends on its own after a set time | ✓ | Runs until stopped |
| Contacts must accept before anything is shared | ✓ | Contacts are just phone numbers |
| Guardian consent for under-18s | ✓ | Rarely asked |
From one tap to help on the way
Invite the people you trust
Choose up to five people from your phone’s contacts and prioritize them in the order you prefer. Each person can accept your invitation directly through their Abhyra app.
Tap SOS
Your location, audio and video start streaming straight away, from both cameras if your phone supports it, otherwise from the front or rear camera. A recording is kept on your phone.
Their phones ring
Every accepted contact receives a siren alert, a live view of your camera feed (front and rear cameras on supported phones), and your location on a map. If a push notification can’t reach them, Abhyra sends an SMS with your location as a backup.
It ends cleanly
Stop whenever you're safe, or let the time limit end it. Everyone sees how it ended and your last location in their history.
Nobody sees your data unless you both agree
A contact only receives your location, audio or video after accepting your invitation. That check runs on the server too, so an emergency can't be sent to someone who hasn't agreed.
Read our security approach →Encrypted connections
Everything between the app and our servers travels over encrypted connections. You stay signed in for up to 30 days without using the app.
Recordings stay on your phone
Emergency recordings are kept only on the device, and you can delete them, your history or your whole account at any time.
